    I discovered a new setting on my messaging app?

    I use the messaging app that came preinstalled with the LG Ally. Not Handcent or anything like that. But I am rooted with Velocity 1.1 so maybe that's different, but it looks the same to me. I was going through the settings and saw one that said "Custom User-Agent". I clicked on it and it gave me a list of phones. I picked the Iphone and exited out and noticed nothing different...?
    Someone said its supposed to change the appearance of your messaging. If you look at the pictures I attached you'll see 0 iphone related appearance settings.

    1st picture: the messaging app I use.
    2nd picture: the choice for User Agent on my settings list.
    3rd picture: list of phones on the user agent menu(you will see I have Iphone selected)
    4th picture: evidence that my appearance hasn't changed at all.
    5th: also evidence that my appearance hasn't changed.

    Don't miss ally much.... anyway the messaging app in velocity 1.1 it's from cm7. The spoof settings aren't supposed to change appearance. If you have it set to include you will get a blurb in the outgoing create that says "sent from my (insert device name)". It's just a way to pretend you have a different phone.
