About LinkBacksAlright, so here's the deal.
I got my Lg Ally last july and recently when someone calls, my phone picks up by itself, and I can't hear anything the other person says. Evidently, they can hear me fine though. I tried calling my voice mail, and again, I couldn't hear anything, no ringing etc. I can't put it on speakerphone either, so I don't think it has anything to do with the speakers. I've also tried turning on and off my phone, and taking the battery out of it for a few minutes. Any help would be most appreciated.

WOOT! Found a solution!
LG Ally: Sound only works (media and calls namely) with headphones. (Solution) - Verizon Wireless Community
Turns out I could use headphones to hear the other side, and then cleaning out the jack worked to resolve the problem.
[I felt the dancing banana was necessary to properly exhibit my excitement.] -

It makes me think the Google developers were marooned in some kind of a 1977 LOST flashback/flashforward/sideways combo reality gameshow -

08-06-2012 10:45 AMA lot of Android phones are having this issue. Try this app and see if it works. The Pro version lets you route sound during phone calls too!
