    My phone was recently upgraded to the new OS 2.2.1which is required to run adobe flash player except it is not listed in the Market APPS.

    If your using an Ally, Flash does not support the hardware you have. Adobe Flash does not work on Ally with 2.2 due to hardware limitation - Android Forums
