Battery level problems

Is there possibly a way to recalibrate the reported battery levels. It seems like I'm chugging along very good from 100->40%, then suddenly the battery drains quickly to 5% (within hours). This isn't from use -- this is from the phone being idle. The reverse also happens -- within minutes of placing it on the charger, the phone charges quickly up to about 40%, then slowly charges back up to about 100%.

The phone really lags at the low battery settings as well. I haven't experienced this with other ROMs.

Same with me, this happens all the time when I go that low.

something odd, I get almost 30 hrs while 2 friends get 8 max.
