    Really weird charging behavior

Running CM6 RC2 with 800 kernal. I had my phone on the charger all night and when I woke up the battery was at 50% and the phone was really hot, tempmonitor said 58c. I have setpu configured to clock the phone down to 400 when the screen is off and down to 600 when above 55c. As far as I know I havent done anything out of the ordinary so I dont really know what could be causing this. If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it?
