Droid X boot animation on CM 5.0.8?

I'm on CM 5.0.8 for the Droid. I checked /data/local and their is no bootanimation.zip in there or any sound file.

When I go to /system/media I see a "bootanimation.zip" and a "audio" folder.

How would I go about installing this boot animation and the audio?

I'm checking this thread out but I don't know if it'll work since my folder are different.

first you have to use root explorer. then lets say your new bootanimation.zip is on your /sdcard. go to /sdcard long press the bootanimation.zip and copy then back out and go to /system/media and paste. same for your audio. this will definatly work for you.

.. Just checked the thread you linked. I'm gonna have to try that.

Your phone will check /data/local/ first for the bootanimation.zip, and if it isn't there, it will load the one from /system/media/

There won't be any bootanimation.zip in there by default, because the default one is in the /system/media/

So just follow the directions in the thread and I know at least the bootanimation will work.
