Don't get your undies in a knot. The incredible 1 is still being supported. Besides the tb2 may not be released for months. Look at the bionic and the og tb and all of those delays.

All Verizon would do is give you one of their thousands of...how do they say it? The refurbished ones that go through the "1 billion point inspection". That's how I got 4 or 5 devices so far with dead pixels, as a replacement for a device with bad pixels. I sincerely doubt they will ever give you a new Thunderbolt 2 no matter how much you demand it, unless you get some insane off-the-line manager at a store, but if you succeed that would be awesome indeed!
And as for the Bionic and Thunderbolt 2 and all these new phones...I could give a crap less...I had a Droid Charge for 2 weeks before switching to my Thunderbolt...the Charge was so flimsy, and while it had good battery life, I think most of that was just the fact that everything was black with white or brown writing. The Thunderbolt seems like a computer, the Charge was a toy...good for my mom. Not me...and I'm glad I got the Thunderbolt, added on a 3200 maH (?) battery and a Seido case and I'm good to go finally. But I do eventually want to get one with a non-dead pixel but at this point, I really doubt I'll ever get a replacement phone without one. I went through several new ones at the store that all had a dead pixel. But my point was - there's always something "better" coming around the corner hehe....as long as you're happy with your phone then that's all that matters.
As I see it, the phones will be supported 2 years past the date they are given out still - at least in an ideal world - so that Verizon doesn't have to be bothered with claims of "then give me a Thunderbolt 2". Once 2 years go buy, they expect everyone to either deal with an unsupported phone, or upgrade.
I fully second what foxdroid wrote. I mean, look at the Droid 1 too, teams sill make roms for it. After two years and u still have the same phone, that's just a testament to how good of a phone it was for you. As long as I can keep getting cool new roms in the future, i can wait for some crazy quad core phone with dedicated video card and still gets better battery life than ours. This phone has an awesomely big screen and is smooth. I'm in love.

If you look at the back of the vigor it looks like an incredible phone design..Might just be the 4g version of the incredible line. If it was the thunderbolt 2 where is the kickstand? idk. but we will all find out when its released.
