Is the HTC Thunderbolt a worthy upgrade?

Is the TB a worthy upgrade over a Droid X?
I do realize there are much better phones coming, but I found a TB for a nice price (along with a Droid Charge) and was several hundred dollars cheaper than most off contract phones are.

So, would you recommend it if this is what I need/want?:

    Good 4G speeds (I am in a 4G area)
    Decent camera
Fast processor (I couldn't care less if it was dual core)
    Netflix
    Easily rooted
    Good Speakers
    Good durability
    Nice looking screen

Also, is there a way to get Sense 3.0 on the TB? I really like how it looks.
    HTC Incredible>Droid2>DroidX>HTC Thunderbolt>Back to Droid X>Droid 3>Prime?

No. Wait for the Droid Bionic. I wish I had. I use my upgrade on the TB like a moron because I was under the impression I needed to be locked into unlimited 4G. Turns out, if you have unlimited 3G, you will keep to get unlimited data when going to a 4G phone after 7/7/2011 when VZ goes to tiered data.

    Yes
    Netflix
If you root and are on a gingerbread rom
    Easily rooted
Sort of. Its more complicated than most but very do able
    Good Speakers
Pretty much. Could be a little louder
    Good durability
    Feels pretty solid
    Nice looking screen
Charge definitely beats the tb but the tb is still nice

I am running sense 3.0 at the moment and is available on das bamf gingerbread.
Answered questions in the quote. Its a pretty solid phone but not without its faults.

Im not interested in the bionic.
Also, I probably wont be able to find a good price.

And I dont want buy anything with Motorola on the front ever again.

Id get the HTC sensation if I was going the expensive route.

My upgrade isn't until March of 2012. I'd had the OG Droid for a little over a year, and it was reaching it's end. It just couldn't hack it with Gingerbread, so I wanted something to tide me over, and I picked up a slightly used Thunderbolt. I'm happy with my choice. It's definitely an improvement over the Droid, and it will definitely last me through until my upgrade without getting device envy for all the new things coming out.

In my mind learning something the hard way would be buying another Motorola phone with a locked bootloader and having to live with the limited rom options for two years. Its possible the bionic will have the lockable /unlockable bootloader like the atrix but after the treatment I got with my droid 2, I don't see myself going back to a moto device. Fool me once ...

I had a Droid X and I never once cared about a locked bootloader. Why? Because the phone worked. I never felt like I needed to install a new ROM or whatever. With the Thunderbolt, tinkering with the phone is almost a requirement to get acceptable performance out of it.

I like to at least have the option. Yes I would agree the thunderbolt needs to be tinkered with but at least I can.
