I called Friday and a CR had me factory reset the phone,a fterwards it still randomly rebooted. I called them back today and they're sending me a replacement. I'll update when I get it (should only be a day or two).
PS. They said to use the 'same battery'. Anyone else hear this? Are they sending replacements without batteries?

Yeah, I'd really love to know the answer to this.
I've had my TB since it came out. I love the sturdiness of it. I love the display, speed, camera & many other options. It took some getting used to the battery drain BUT once you play with the phone settings a bit, you realize those issues can be minimized. This isn't an issue for me.
HOWEVER, I'm now frustrated.
After the latest firmware update, my TB constantly reboots. It happens when it's just sitting there and when I'm using it. Not only does it restart, once it restarts, I've found I have to manually restart it again to get the internet connection.
I did speak with Edward @ Verizon, who was wonderful by the way. We did a factory reset. This didn't fix anything. He explained that this has happened to many TB owners ever since the HTC firmware update. He advised he would let me know once he knows more about a fix.
I then emailed HTC with my frustration. This is the first HTC product I've had. (I've been with VWS for as long as I can remember & have rarely had problems with my phones.) HTC did email me back. They did advise the following (cut n pasted from email)

I am sorry to hear that your device keeps rebooting over and over again.
Unfortunately, the update has been causing the HTC Thunderbolt device to perform self reboots. At this time HTC has pulled back the update so that it can be fixed and relaunched in the very near future. Verizon has offered to swap out these devices for the customers at the local stores. Before you leave the store, please make sure that the device does not have the latest 2.3 update.
Amy, we do apologize for any inconvenicne that this may cause.

I appreciate their response. I'm not sure that it would help me much to go get a replacement. However, having an ETA would have been nice. I figure, I'll hold off for another week or two. If this isn't resolved by then, I'll have to request that VWS replaces this phone but I'd like a comparable one thats, not HTC. Believe me, I love the phone but the frustration level is building. I truly hope they can fix this quickly.
My 3G crashed a few days ago & it took the rep almost an hour to get it going. After trying the basic troubleshooting steps & talking with a tech we decided that a factory reset was needed.
Like you I was having an issue with constant reboots. I asked her god forbid anything happen to my phone, could I get a refurb phone of my choice. She said no, I can only get another tb.

Since the factory reset a few days ago I've had two reboots, so its better LMAO. $300 for a phone that decides when it wants to reboot when it wants.
