03-26-2011 02:07 PMThe update will break root and you will have to root again. If you are running a Rom or have removed bloatware you will likely have to return to stock.

03-26-2011 02:19 PMno you will just be unrooted. if you have bloatware removed then the update will start and then quit, but still no brick. this is at least the way at has been thus far.

03-26-2011 02:21 PMno brick, and if you run a custom rom they generally turn off the OTA updates.
and, fyi, by the time the gingerbread update comes out you'll probably have access to an Ice Cream rom
Edit to add: once you have a recovery loaded (i.e. past the scary re-write the bootloader stage) it's nearly impossible to actually brick your phone.Last edited by mark3748; 03-26-2011 at 02:24 PM.
