You can't shut it off yet, once root is available, i'm sure someone will create a dongle.

My headset jack works perfectly.

im very happy with the phone, but as all phones do, this one needs some wrinkles ironed out. i really think root will solve almost all these issues.

thinking back to when i first got the droid, the battery (relatively) seemed awful at the time. but this has some serious power. you cant place a piece of coal in a nuclear reactor and expect great results.

yeah my sim card wasnt in my tray but it was like in the box under all the paperwork. i didnt find it at first, but then i did end up finding it. anyone have an issue with the buttons on the bottom of the phone staying lit even when the screen is off?

I got my GF a new thunderbolt. She got it in the mail today. After an hour on the phone with Vzw tech. No activation. They say its the sim card? Has anyone else here had an issue with this?

A few questions about apps.

How do you actually close an app? Does it close when you hit the home screen or do you have to close it some other way?

Is there a way to check what apps are running in the background? What is considered the "bloatware"

Battery Questions

Do you think there will be a better slimmer battery coming out? (bigger than 1600mah because 1600mAh doesn't sound like much of an improvement.)

My experience getting it.

I got my tb from bestbuy and the guy put the sim card in for me. I also bought the thunderbolt with the screen cover pre-installed so I wouldn't have to deal with potential bubbles. In my opinion it was worth it.
