I figured out how to stream music using Twonky to the XBox, which was pretty cool. The video thing though is a puzzle since the format used by Android isn't recognized.

I'm thinking you will either have to get the HTC Media Link, or hopefully the Multimedia Dock will allow you to connect through HDMI.

Personally I am looking into iusing my Xbox 360. My question is can it be done? I know that it has DLNA capabilites. Does this mean I can just connect my TB with the Xbox whenever and run things through the Xbox? Do I still need something like the HTC Media Dock? Any insight?
I actually just tried this with my Droid X and Xbox 360 last night and it worked like a charm for pics and music. Videos didn't show up but I'm sure it's just because the Xbox doesn't recognize 3gp files. Open the DLNA app on the phone and turn on media sharing. Then on the Xbox under My Xbox go to music, pictures, or video library where it shows the list of available sources. The phone didn't show up at first until I realized that in the settings for the DLNA app is a box you can check to enable streaming to Xbox. A box will appear on the phone at some point asking to allow the Xbox to connect. Just click ok and you should be good to go.

You'll have to get one from the Market. I used Twonky.

They show DLNA in action in one of the commercials though, you sure it isn't in the menus somewhere?

Also curious about this. I'm able to get it to work with Twonky, so it's not a real issue, but per the phone documentation it should be able to work and it doesnt.

    You should be able to:
    Open a picture in gallery
    Press Menu
    Press Select Player
    and it should work.

    Or

    Go to Connected Media App
    Touch Photos
Touch the photo you want to share
and it will search for a player for you to select to send it to.

I have been unable to get that to work, and I can use Twonky so it's fine, but just curious what I'm doing wrong, because if it's built into the OS to be able to do, I don't understand why I'd need to use Twonky.

    Any ideas?

I agree it should just work without having to open up videos on the xbox and search for twonky mobile server to get it to work. There has to be an easier way. I'm going to work on this hopefully I can figure it out.

I looked up the Thunderbolt's certification on dlna.org and compared it with the Droid X. The Thunderbolt is listed as a Mobile Digital Media Player, whereas the Droid X is listed as a Mobile Digital Media Server.

So I understand then why I can't see it on my PS3, which is also a Player, not a Server.

But I don't understand why they advertise it the way they do, and why it has the option on it to "Select Player" or "Choose Media to send to nearby player", when it's not a server.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge of DLNA devices will see this and explain it to me.
