    Mail retrieval settings

May be a silly question, but where have the settings gone that allow you to determine how often to look for new mail?
Since the update, my battery life is really bad again and this is usually the culprit. Thanks.

It should be under Accounts & Sync on the Settings menu. Select the account and you should see the Update schedule setting on the bottom. You can set frequency on peak and off-peak hours.

My accounts/sync page does not have a settings option. When I select the account, the only option is sync now or remove account.

What email service do you use? Gmail, Outlook?

Gmail and yahoo, both via apps since imbedded mail app is screwy with yahoo.

I don't use Yahoo but for Gmail, after you go to Account & Sync and select your Gmail account, touch where it says "Update schedule" and you'll see where you can set Frequency for Peak times and Off-peak times. Sorry for not being too clear. HTH

You were clear, but that update schedule option does not exist on my phone. Nor do I see it anywhere else on my phone. It's pretty annoying that this option is gone.

Hmmm... interesting... I no longer see an Update Schedule in Google Account settings anymore, and it is not in the Gmail app either. Odd... I have it there for my Exchange and Facebook accounts, but not Google account.

I agree, battery has been brutal since update. I have extended battery and used to get 36-48 hours, now I barely get to mid afternoon before having to charge to make it thru the day. Tried every setting I can think of. Tried to catch any rogue apps draining, but can't seem to figure it out. So frustrating.
