Rezound shutting off !

For the last week or so, when I would take my Rezound out of my pocket and go to press the on/off button to turn on the screen,I find out that it was actually off. It would then turn on, as if it had been off for some time.
Could this be a quirk from ICS ? Anyone experiencing this ?

Have you dropped it or has it gotten wet at all? Also are you rooted?

I suggest taking off the back cover and look if the battery is seated in place correctly.

Also remove the battery and examine the battery electrical contacts on both the battery and the phone. Look for damage and for dirt.

The only time I dropped it was a few months ago, about 2' onto my carpet- no issue there.
It has never gotten wet. No, it is not rooted .

I agree with Howard. Also, did you do factory reset when you updated to ICS?

It's probably something about the battery and the way it sits in your phone. Like howard said

I stopped by my local Verizon store. I was told there that I should be managing my apps by clearing the cache. That seems to have rectified my phones issue of shutting off !
