I just got my rezound and wondering its on gb do you guys recommending me upgrade to ics. If I do I will surely flash to neo maxx rom but afraid ics will cause a severe loss in battery life and run hotter. Let me know what you guys think . I won't dirty flash if I do upgrade will wipe cache delvik and data before upgrading to ice

ICS is the best thing I have seen on my Rezound, it is like getting a whole new phone and so much nicer and faster than on GB. Some people have had problems, but out of the thousands and thousands of Rezounds out there, it has been very few. If you take the plunge to ICS, factory default the phone afterwards or flash the RUU (which will wipe the phone).

My vote, is upgrade, well worth it!!!

I have had some problems, but they seem to be working themselves out now. If/when you decided to get some ice cream, I recommend doing a factory reset after, that solved quite a few of my issues, but not all.

    No, stay with Gingerbread.

This way when anyone complains about ice cream sandwich, you can say "I don't have that problem"

Also, after twenty years you can get historic tags from dmv for your phone. Then you can brag that " they don't make them like they used to."

You can volunteer to test new apps to assure backwards compatibility with Gingerbread.

You gotta give new technology at least a few years to get the kinks out of it.

I agree. I'm also sticking with Windows 98 until they get the kinks out of the replacement.

Lol... I think you missed the sarcasm of HowardZ's last post.

ICS is good, not perfect, and you might have problems so be prepared to factory reset... The best way to upgrade is download the RUU and flash it in hboot, it is SUPER EASY, it will wipe your phone (do a factory default) as part of the process, but I don't think I have seen ANYONE who was bone-stock post that this failed for them or they had the same problems as the OTA update. Then you don't even have to root to debloat, that function is built directly into ICS!

    hihi, lol

When I got vista, I learned how to live with it.
    vista was progress
    I still use vista.
    Real men use vista.
I see no reason to try windows 7,
but I can't wait till windows 8 shows up.

kidding aside, I really do use vista.
I can see a touch screen windows 8 laptop in my future, but I'm not going to pay for windows 7.

I see the majority of ics complaints as picky people complaining about anything that changed.
oh, I don't like the font.
oh, gb let me do it that way.
I'm not displaying as many signal bars
etc etc enough to make me sometimes want to go to another forum. These people need to perform the s-off procedure, install the gb ruu, and stop complaining.

The only complaint I've noticed that might be credible is worse battery performance. personally, I find it hard to compare since this has always been a HTC weakness.
