Car Panel & Navigation Dock...can I disable it?

Actually, that part you can turn off. Open up the regular dock mode and in the Settings you can turn the auto wifi off.

Thanks! NoDock requires root, so that won't work for me. But I did find DockNothing, which actually worked! When I put the phone in the navigation dock the screen flickers and I get a quick redraw, but the Car Panel doesn't come up! It still shows the Car Panel icon in the notification bar though. But at least I don't have to hit Menu-Exit every time.

So, if you guys are tired of the Car Panel, download DockNothing. I'm waiting for the ICS OTA update, then I'll root and unbloat this bad boy

The app is called "Dock Mode". Then hit Menu-Settings. Although, I don't think it will show up in the app drawer when using the stock launcher. May have to search for it a different way under Applications. I have Launcher Pro, so it shows up in my app drawer.

Edit: And just to be clear, there's two different dock apps. 'Dock Mode' and 'Car Panel'. You turn off the auto-wifi in Dock Mode, not Car Panel.

Had to download "dock mode" to be able to get to that screen.

WiFi auto on was unchecked so I don't know why it turns on but whatever. I rarely use my dock anyway.

If you take the dock apart, pin 4 in mostly grounded. Removing the ground should change it to regular charge mode.
