Thanks to all involved in this thread! It worked perfect, my only issue was at the very end when I closed down the program before it was complete so I just rebooted let it run again and it worked. My first change was to get the WiFi hot spot with Open Garden and it is soooo much faster then my incredible. It clocked out at 14k MB/s on Cnet's WiFi speed test and I'm very happy with the speed.

As a side note, I noticed that when I right-clicked and ran the batch as Administrator that it would fail, which is wierd because this is usually what you have to do. For those that are having problems, DONT RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

Confirmed - after several failed attempts, multiple restarts and uninstall of sync - no success. I had ignored this post due to a comment stating that this was absolutely incorrect. Decided to give it a shot and gtg means good to go. Perm root - goodbye bloat

Sounds like you are stuck till root is obtained for this stock ROM. I'm sure it won't be long though.

After receiving a verizon update last night "root" is no more. I tried the procedures listed at the top of this thread and even tried temp root with "clean tool 2.1.1" and naadaa. The whole kicker is that I have a backup of the entire system but I can't get Titanium Backup to work.

There's a thread on this at XDA. The method used to obtain root was via Amon Ra recovery. Here's the thread.

Thanks for the info I will take a look.

With that all said I actually ran antutu benchmark and scored something like 4600 prior to the update. Now I'm scoring over 5900 and it does seem to be responding quicker.

In reviewing the help doc link, after the update/reboot it popped up, it mentioned several OS fixes along with 4g/3g fixes.

Anyone else seeing better performance after the update?
