The menu button is different, though. The eris menu button says 'menu' and the droid uses a symbol. The passion menu button uses the same symbol as the droid, and not the 'menu' button like the eris.

Also, the trackball is a little odd placed on the Passion. Looks like it is very far down on the phone.
Have almost got the Moto twice this weekend. I actually like the hard keyboard, that said I have pretty much decided to wait a while for the Passion. Basicly I think the Passion looks to be the one for me, assuming what I read is correct. The one thing I know I don't like about the Passion is no physical keypad, the other is the screen size or more correctly the phone size. With a screen at 4.2" the phone it's self may be to big for my tastes, on the other hand it may be ok. Just waiting to see, regardless hope to have one or the other by end of year.
If the dimensions of the Passion are similar to the HD2 as I expect, then it really isn't that big overall. It's very similar to the traditional blackberry size, Moto Q9c etc, but thinner.
I am a long time HTC owner but new to droid. I have been doing a lot of reading about droid and I think I am going to give it a try when the Passion comes out. My wife just got the Motorola Droid and she loves it now that she has found a way to control battery drain. I have played with it some and I think what I like the best is that it is not Windows. I am so sick of windows but never sick enough for apples so maybe the droid will be a nice change. I use my phone for everything like work email, music, GPS Navigation, internet, teathering and well just about everything even a flashlight for checking the oil in my car in the early mornnings. Do you think I will be able to do all of this with the Passion?
