Sending/Receiving MMS messes up phone

Whenever I send or receive a Multimedia Message my phones inbox goes crazy flickering, and if I can manage to click into a conversation the text field to type in flickers like crazy and if I can get to click it then my keyboard goes berserk and I can't type at all. I've used Swiftkey and Perfect Keyboard and had the problem with both, and even the stock keyboard and have the problem with all of them. VZW couldn't figure it out either. I've had this problem for months now. Anyone know of a fix? It's absolutely driving me insane!
