Nested groups possible?

Hi all, this is my first post ever, just joined the site. So I apologize for the total noob question (I apologize if this isn't posted in the correct area) but I'm doing my best to actually go thru my brand new HTC Incredible 2 and organize it asap...here goes:

Is it possible to create nested groups in the stock People/Contacts app? (the one that takes up one whole screen)

My end goal is to be able to have icons of Favorites, Family, Friends, CustomName groups etc instead of just having one group showing, i.e. Favorites.

So...is this even possible? Maybe I need to look for an app on the Market?

There should be groups tab at the bottom of the people app. It allows you to add groups.

I feel I may have been unclear.

It's the People Widget that I'm talking about. (just found the correct term for it, sry) I've just tried to add a new/different People Widget to my home screen and it even says right in there under Details "...bring one of your contact groups to your home screen".

I am trying to make a group that shows whatever groups I want to include on this home screen widget. So instead of the widget heading being Favorites or Frequent groups, I would make a new group called Groups (home screen widget would say "Groups") and then in the widget there would be Friends, Family, Co-Workers, etc.

I feel this may not be possible, although it sure seems like someone else would have wanted something like this before me...?

I am not sure. When you go to add the widget after you hit select you can just hit the add group button. You can then name it and put a check mark next to the people you want to add. After you save the group you can add it as a widget. Beyond that I am not sure how to add more than one group to the widget or tile in the widget. Sorry I can't be of more help. If I figure something I out I will let you know.
