What ROM are you running? Eris FroYo builds are known to have camera issues.
I touched Lord Stanley's Cup on 1/2/11.
so what should i run? cause thats what ive got
The prevailing knowledge that I found in an XDA KaosFroyo thread was that the CFS v6 Kernel should fix the camera issues.
It's at the following link: [GPL]2.6.29.6 CFS Kernel V6 10/17/10 - xda-developers
Also paddyo75, you didn't tell us WHICH FroyoEris ROM you're using. We'll have to assume KaosFroyo because of the guide you linked us to.
yeah sry, not sure i guess...im a noob when it comes to this stuff![]()
Same issue.
-KaosFroyo v38
-Android 2.2.1
-Kernel 2.6.29
Yeah I tried to upgrade to v 38 and the gmail keep force closing and still have prob with camera and the battery dead very fast, so I went back to v 38.... I also tried the kernel v 6 and I could get it to load
Sent from my FroyoEris using DroidForums App
Flashing the CFSv6 kernel in the link I posted is no different than the process to flash a ROM. Except you don't have to wipe user data. It is recommended that when you do boot your phone into Recovery, that you wipe your system cache & Dalvik cache. Aside from that the kernel upgrade boosts performance and your settings stay in place.
