Please Help! Phone calling wrong contacts

My brother's eris has been calling the wrong people on occasion.
ie he trys to call his friend, but it calls his wife.

he says it first started when he got the android 2.1 ota update

He is stock, what could cause this?

Have him log into his google account and check his contacts info. I had my home number somehow end up in a buddies info, so it would sometimes show his name when my wife would call from our home number. I found that, removed it from his info, and it cleared right up.

good idea. So you're saying he should look at his contacts in his gmail account? or just double chech that the contacts in his phone dont have extra numbers saved?

good idea. So you're saying he should look at his contacts in his gmail account? or just double chech that the contacts in his phone dont have extra numbers saved?

He can do that, but it is easier to do that sort of thing from a PC. Just my preference.
