default browser page end function

I asked several months ago to no avail, but here goes again...because this lack of knowledge really sticks in my craw.

how can I get to the end (or top) of a web page with a multi tap or swype? I'm convinced it can be done because I inadvertently do it several times a day!
Some one else has to be experiencing this too? Youre scrolling thru a news site and all of a sudden you're whisked miles down below to the end of three hundred comments and then must scroll scroll scroll back up.

And as an aside; whatever happened to instructions, or help, or faqs or tips-from the manufacturer/dev? Yes I eagerly downloaded some droid pdf owners manual that had a small section on the eris brower, but ' page end `was not addressed in the three sentences allotted for browser help.
