    How to Power on Droid Eris without any Sound

    Is there anyway to turn on the phone without that LOUD HTC jingle? It has a powerup noise even when the Phone's on Silent. Is there any way to turn this completely off?

    Yea you can just put phone on silent before. You shut it down and that should work

    can't you disable insert sd notifications in the settings menu?

    home - menu - settings - sounds & display - uncheck sd card notification. the startup sound on the DROID is the inserting (mounting) of the SD card. Eris should be similar.
