How to re-send a failed txt?

I'm a noob to the Eris. I sent a txt msg that failed because I was in a no service spot. It shows a triangle with an ! inside.

Can I just have it resend now that I'm in a service area again? or do I have to retype?

Try forwarding it, but erase the "forward" part before you send.

That's a good thought, how do I forward it?

I'm coming from an older than 2 year old LG Env and txting seemed so much simplier. More power in this phone, but dang, seems like a ton to learn.

You might want to try other message apps...each has it's pro's and con's....

Now that, you'll have to wait for someone else to answer. I don't have my Droid yet. But that's what I do on my current phone a sch-u740.

Open the message and look for an 'options' button.

Yes you can Resend it, just highlight the text and hold it, then click the option to Resend. Happened to me a couple of times yesterday lol which is why i know

I didn't think to hold it down. I'm sure I will need to do that again in the future.
