Powering down

Kind of an odd question and I really don't like saying "iphone" here... But, does anyone know if there is any kind of a powering off of the Eris like the iphone has? The iphone can be shut down with the regular power button, but also has a 2 button combo that completely shuts down all the processors and everything. I know there is the factory reset combo for the Eris, but I'm not wanting to completely reset the phone back to stock.

Unless you are rooted, using the power button is the only option. IF you are rooted, you can use an app like "Quick Boot" from the market, and choose between powering the phone down, rebooting, or booting to recovery.

Thanks for the info. I kinda thought that was going to be the situation. I want to root, just to be rooted for some of the features, but still a little hesitant to going thru the process and also not sure if I want to get into messing around with the many roms...
