We hate apple products. Also last time she picked out her own phone she came home with a pantech. I am going with the dna for her.
I currently have a Droid X, and thinking hard about upgrading to the DNA. A few questions to my new friends: Is the HTC UI Sense hard to get used to? For guys, is the DNA too large and uncomfortable to fit into a jeans pocket? I don't like the "holster look". I would think a cover would make it even more bulky? Thanks, in advance.
I would not even try to fit this phone in my pocket, but I think that's just my personal preference. I didn't keep any of my phones in my pocket, I've used a holster even for my OG Droid.
But this phone, as sleek as it is, is rather too large to fit comfortable in a pocket IMHO.
Droid DNA, Nexus 7
Just because ford was the first mass produced car in the United States does not mean I have to like them. I had an iPhone and did not care for it. And the first smartphone was actually invented by IBM in 1992 and palm in 2001. So iPhone was not the first.
How much memory can you save from rooting it? I don't really plan on putting too much music on it since I have an ipod already but I know I'll have a lot of apps and games if I get it. I can't decide whether to go with the dna or samsung galaxy s3
2bit's droid stats:
Phone: original Droid 1
Current Rom: Simply Stunning v5.4(2.3.4 gingerbread)
Kernel: chevy mv 1ghz
Nex theme & Launcher Pro
dna is much faster and i only use about 5-7 gb of memory so its fine for me. if it was a international s3 it would be a hard choicecuz that one has a quad core. since the vzw one only has dual core its much easier to say the dna is better
No SD card and not beign able to swap a battery is a "NO BUY" for me and I am a BIG HTC fan "Incredible and Rezound owner", yesterday I was out all day "away from a charger" from 5 AM to 10 PM with constant use of GPS and internet on my S3, good thing I had a spare battery or would have been dead in the water. And where would I be able to put my 40 gigs of High Resolution movies and High Resolution music on the DNA, sorry but cloud music and movies do not equate to high resolution content "plus you need to be around data, be it WiFi or 3G/4G to use the content", and beign able to have this content on my 64 Gig micro SD card means I do not need to be around data to watch my favorite movies and listen to my favorite music.
