    Need Help asap 2.0.1 to 2.2

    Ive searched and searched again

    i have a replacement phone coming tomorrow and i just unrooted my droid from bb v0.4 to stock 2.01 using the rsdlite and 2.0.1 sbf

    i need to know how to get to 2.2 to make it look like its had it since the release of 2.2

    i go into system updates and it says its up to date how do i get it to ota update

    you dont HAVE to. if its unrooted and you leave no traces of root on there you can just say you never got the update..

    Correct. If you HAVE to put it to 2.2, manually install this file.

    Will take you straight to FRG01B.

    But you really don't have to...

    but i told them its been having problems freezing up ever since the update, and the keyboard light doesnt work, when the only problem with the phone was the keyboard light, i just made it sound worse saying that 2.2 was giving me problems

    how do i flash that file since i dont have sprecovery nore do i want it now that im sending it in

    They're not going to care when you send it back. Its a production process and as such they don't have time to check what firmware its currently running. They're going to disassemble it, clean it, replace parts as necessary and re-flash the OS.

    Just send it back like you have it.

    Like we've been saying, it's not needed, but if it'll make you feel better, I can give you the instructions on how to install it. It's the official FRG01B update so it'll work with the stock recovery image. Let me know if you do want to proceed. It'll take about 20 minutes, tops, unless something borks.
