SetCPU Scaling
I have read and understand the overclocking guide so please don't direct m there. I am still confused as to what scaling should be set as on SetCPU, it is on demand by default, should I keep that? I changed it to performance and noticed my phone is alot faster than on demand since it stays at 1gh. Will this make my battery die faster though? I want to save the battery as much as I can, and make it run as fast as I can at the same time. I am willing to compromise so both battery life and speed are good. Settings Suggestions?

on demand is pretty much the universal standard for best preformace while not sacrificing too much battery life. Anything else will either be faster with less batt life, or slower with more.

With my 800 mhz kernel (same idea should work for higher ones) I have mine set on "conservative" with my Advance settings being
sample rate: 156250
Up: 50
Down: 35
ignore nice: 0
freq step: 5
That way it goes up fast when I need it, but doesn't max unless it really needs to then goes back down fast. I get really good battery life with this. I mainly play on the web and games earlier in the day so later in the day i'm mainly just texting is why this gradually getting slower works out for me.
I also have my profiles setup.
Priority 100: (Charging/Full)
800 max, 125 min
Priority 99: Screen off
400 max, 125 min (need the 400 so blue tooth and voice dialing works properly)
Priority 98: Battery < 21%
400 max, 125 min
Priority 97: Battery < 41%
550 max, 125 min
Priority 96: Battery < 61%
700 max, 125 min
Priority 95: Battery < 81%
750 max, 125 min
Priority 94: Battery < 100%
800 max, 125 min

ok well let me ask this. i have been getting great battery life since i started using juice defender. for instance i've been unplugged for 3-4 hours, have 90% battery life, and I feel like it will stay high and drain slowly. Is it ok for me to run performance in this case? It wont damage my phone will it?
