    Have BBv.o4, getting update prompt

    I'm already rooted and 2.2. How do I stop the verizon update. It was my understanding that I shouldnt be seeing this when the update was available.

    im running bb v0.4 and never got an OTA notification, never did for 2.1 either when i was running BB then... you shouldnt.
    Got OG on launch day, Got Nexus on launch day. Only Vanilla Android for me!

    The only way to stop the notification is to let it download...it should fail during installation

    I would be too, but experience on the forum says the install will fail, although I haven't received the OTA myself to share personal experience

    I'm on UD6.0 and got the update this morning. I too am wondering what to do to get rid of the constant notification.

    Sprecovery and Clockwork Recovery will both block the OTA update.

    I'm running bb 0.4 and got the update notification update two days ago. I accepted the update, the phone rebooted just fine and that's the last I heard of it. Did not lose root, still have the same 2.2 bb rom, phone is running great. Have not had any repeat notifications for the update.

    The developers should have either renamed or deleted the otacerts file. Search otacerts in root explorer, rename it with a .bak filetype, or delete it, and reboot...might work.
