Need help asap :) froyo droid

HELLO,

I recently installed the froyo update manually with root from bugless. The main issue i had is that i have a magnet case and the dock keeps popeing up when my phones int he case. When people call me, i try to answer the phone, but the dock screen remains and will not let me answer the phone. it is getting REALLY annoying. Is there anyway that i can just delete the whole dock file off the phone? I tried using ROOT EXPLORER, but i could not find it. I tried changing things that sounded like it to "xxxx".apk.bak so it is reversible, but none of what I changed seem to work.

Any help will be much appreciated.

In root explorer go to system>>>app and look for the car dock there. Make sure it is on r/w. I keep a copy of the apps i delete in a folder on my sdcard called "original" before i delete anything just in case. Hope this helps

Ive tried that, the only thing associated with that in the apps folder are

"carHomeGoogle.apk"
"CarhomeLauncher.apk"

Both of which ive renamed to test if it did any difference. I just want the media dock and car dock completly gone off the phone.

Ok. So i deleted everything that had to do with car home. It seems like its done now .

How do i get rid of the media dock popup now? Is there a way to suppress the app? Like maybe toggle it via clickin on app icon only?

Media dock? you mean the app that's activated via magnet when you set it on a desktop cradle?

Yes, the application thats activated via the magnet. Forwahtever reason, if that application is activated, whenever i get a call, there is no way for me to answer the call. The phone rings, but the application is still present. I just want to get rid of it completely as i dont use it.

Should be the same process, i just don't know what the APK is called, and i can't find out because then i lose internet connectivity (long story about my tethering setup, don't ask lol).

haha,...i do not no what it is called either. Thats why i was hopeing somebody does. Havent found anything name wise closely related.
