sorry, I said it above and it's in my signature.......

I'm not worried about overlocking yet.. I just want to get the initial root done and backup, then I want to free up some memory. after that, overlocking may be an option
My phone is the Droid Eris. Any questions/suggestions I post are all going to be related to, or have been tested on this device, and this device ONLY. Other than that, I love my Droid Eris!

ROOTED- Using EasyRoot, tried downloading BBv.4 but no luck running it yet

    5) If you followed a guide what step did you get hung up on.
Used EasyRoot, I have root access but want to run BB. I downloaded it, wiped my phone went through the reboot and I'm back at stock froyo. I had to re-download all my apps and re-activate my phone.

In ROM Manager, does choosing the option "Backup Current ROM" create a Nandroid backup?

    ok, thanks for the help.

I managed to root my droid eris with a tutorial I found on another website, and by watching some of your vids. I will post the tutorial in a new thread in a few minutes.
