I'm not worried about overlocking yet.. I just want to get the initial root done and backup, then I want to free up some memory. after that, overlocking may be an option

2) are you rooted or stock , and if you are rooted list rom, kernel, and theme if applicable
ROOTED- Using EasyRoot, tried downloading BBv.4 but no luck running it yet
3) how much battery life and when was the last time you charged it.
Plugged in and charging now, 80%

Used EasyRoot, I have root access but want to run BB. I downloaded it, wiped my phone went through the reboot and I'm back at stock froyo. I had to re-download all my apps and re-activate my phone.

I managed to root my droid eris with a tutorial I found on another website, and by watching some of your vids. I will post the tutorial in a new thread in a few minutes.
