    CPU temps?

    I have been messing around with with some different kernels (chevyno1's ulv 1.0 ghz and chevyno1's lv 1.1 ghz kernels to be specific) and my phone flies! but i really dont know what temps the cpu can handle.

    during heavy use my phone goes up to about 40 C, does this seem about right? are there any thermal specifications regarding the OMAP processor in the droid that anyone knows of?

    40C is pretty much normal, especially if you're running at 1+GHz.

    40 C is warm, but fine. The max rated temp for the cpu itself is 70 C, but we don't know exactly what the other chips on the board are rated. Most people conservatively say to not let the cpu exceed 50-55 C.
