Use the pre5.apk, pre6 had issues AFAIK they havent been fixed yet.
On a unrelated note, is there any hope for a non ad-hoc wifi set up? I wanted it so my kids could use their Nintendo DSi browsers while on road trips, and Nintendo wont recognize an ad-hoc network.
I just wanted to say thanks for all the great input and information. I'm tethered now and unplugged that darn phone cord from my laptop! Dial up was the bomb way back when, even at 2400 baud when we could get it, because I got to read a lot of good books while waiting. Ha ha. Thanks again!
By the way, concerning the cost after 30 days; this is from the download site (June Fabrics.com) as of 06-02-2010: You are about to purchase PdaNet for Android. Please read the agreement carefully before you continue. 1. The price of a single license is $23.95 ($18.95 now for a limited time). It is a one time purchase for the Android version. One license covers one phone (you can reuse the license if you switch to a new Android phone). There is no limit on the computer side. 2. Your license gives you unlimited free upgrades. However we do not provide any warranty for the software.
what are you restricted from when the trial ends?
Sooooooooooooo . . . Any site?
Not exactly any site. Mostly bank sites, paypal, order forms for any website. Pretty much anything where money is involved are the only sites that need a secure connection to prevent ID theft.
I had the PDAnet app for a while (paid version) but didnt like the fact it wasn't wireless. You needed to have stuff installed on the computer prior to use and it had to be either a usb or bluetooth connection. I will go back it to if they ever offer wireless connectivity.
