Can't get into Recovery Mode

Hi all!

I just rooted my Telus Moto Milestone running 2.1 and have been trying to do a Nandroid backup before I install any custom ROMs. The problem is that when I try and enter recovery mode (by pressing the camera and power button) I am not given the usual /!\ screen but rather a black screen with white words as follows:

Bootloader
90.74
Err:A5,69,35,00,2F

Battery OK
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable

I should mention that this happens even when I try and get the phone to enter recovery mode by using "adb recovery reboot recovery".

Any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate any help at all.

I wasnt aware that custom ROMs were available for the Milestone... I thought rooting was the best you could do.

hey LtKen, thanks for the quick reply.
I am aware that the bootloader is locked out but this should not mean that I would be unable to create a nandroid backup, or enter recovery mode for that matter.

That's the boot loader. Recovery is entered by holding X and pressing the power button.

I just dont see the point, since you cant really do anything with it...

yea, that's my problem. i can't get into recovery mode, period. i get the error message i outlined in my first post...sigh

Did you Google "milestone Err:A5,69,35,00,2F"? I get a ton of results, a few seem really relevant....

yupp i've looked at almost all the search results and none offer me a good solution im hoping you've had better luck than me! i cant even unroot if i cant access recovery mode.

wow huh, sounds like the Milestone really sucks ( not spec wise but how it's locked down ). I dont understand why they dont just leave security holes open on all android phones. i mean after all the ability to hack, root, and customize your phone to how you want it is what draws a lot of people to android in my opinion.
