    changing market icon and notification bar

    2 things i need help with and cant find an answer to.
    1, when i change my market icon in vending.apk i need to uninstall updates but then no apps will download and i get a FC everytime. does anyone know how i can change the market icon without this problem?
    2, i want to change the notification bar from verizon wireless to my own thing, without buying pull down editor. does anyone know how or what xml file i need to modify?

    I've got the same problem I changed the launcher. PNG that's it and resigned it the market works but it downloads the app but fc's at install please help also how do u uninstall market updates

    Settings. Apps. Manage. Market. Uninstall updates.
    I found a vending.apk u can put in place of the current one that supposedly will let u change the icon, but when I follow the steps n then try to install it i get 'app did not install'

    So many questions 0 solutions. Argh

    When you're in manage apps hit menu n filter to all. Then when u click on market u should be able to unistall updates. Then in data/app there's a com. File u can delete. I'm running bb. Still haven't figured out how to switch over n install the old market

    Download the update.zip unzip it Send the vending.apk to SD card from terminal or adb type su then busybox cp /sdcard/Vending.apk /system/app then your done you now have the original market zipalign apks after

    I got it to work I unzipped a working vending apk replaced the if launcher and didn't touch the Meta inf folder just repacked it and that was it mint works good now even though I was told I had to delete the. Folder and resign it
