Unroot/Unbrick using .sbf post from -ikithme-

I know this has been brought up a few times in the other post, so I'll bring it up here. I have performed this process many times. I find that I may have to run it more than once in order for RSDlite to show a completion. I have run it and gotten only to 99%, the phone then reboots and appears to be ok, but RSDlite says failed. I rerun the whole process until I get to 100% and RSDlite shows completion. Hope this helps some other noob's!!

Does the phone you are trying to get back to stock have to be activated? I only ask because the power button on my OG Droid is no longer working and Verizon is sending me a refurb under warranty. I have to get it back to stock before I send it back. Does the phone im sending back have to be activated or can I Use RSD LIte and sbf recovery wit the phone not activated on the Verizon network?

Its the square button on the right side of the keyboard that lets you move the cursor around when you are in text field.

Search for Pete Alfonso's web site. He has all the files you need. Or search for "if you have lag, fc droid forums" in Google. That's a thread here that has some good info. Or go back a few posts and look at teddyearp (sp?) signature. He has some good links there too.

If your in boot loop you're not bricked. Can you boot into recovery? Do you have a nandroid backup?

I wish I woulda knew about this a few months ago. I was stuck in a boot loop and couldnt boot into recovery. Only sbf I had was 2.0.1. (ESD56) Thanks for this post.. Even tho I'm fine now and can just do my stuff from recovery.... thanks for this post.

Did you do it with the correct files for the Droid X? Just curious because the files in the thread are for the Droid 1.

yeah i did it once before to unroot and everything went fine but then vz came up with an update that killed my battery so i did it again but this time it is stuck in the bootloader screen saying service required, memory map blank Low battery cannot program.
