About LinkBacksi did the "http://rootyourdroid.info/guides/obtaining-root/"
and i have the superuser icon
but when i tried to do the busybox and typed in su it said that i didnt have the permission
what should i do now?

04-13-2010 10:17 PMYou may not actually have root, the icon can sometimes show up without root actually happening properly. What happens when you run the SU App?

04-13-2010 10:45 PMtry out the droidmod updater thing.. free from their website and gets you a pretty awesome ROM automatically... you can switch around ROMs from there with little hassle
DroidMod - Everything Droid doesn't, DroidMod does.
i'm not supporting them over anyone else, it's just the easiest root n' rom technique-Respect is rule #1

04-13-2010 10:50 PMi was at 2.1 but downgraded to 2.0.1
i just did a factory reset
and used "http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-droid/25252-how-root-your-droid-non-linux-non-geeks.html" to get rooted
it worked i think. now im trying to find out how to do busybox
edit - i guess i do have su because i just did busybox with "http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-droid/45764-guide-s-everything-root-related.html"Last edited by drtranmd; 04-13-2010 at 11:00 PM. Reason: more info

04-14-2010 12:56 PMi think my su is broken so im going to revert all the way back to 2.0.1 stock
obtain root again with rootyourdroid.info
then use rom manager to flash clockwork
do a backup then install cm
or should i flash with spr then flash to clockwork?
does this sound good and/or right?
