Is it possible to save my 2.0.1 data w/ BB 0.9?

I have everything set perfectly, all I need to do is flash over BB to make it complete.

One thing...how can I backup my apps and the associated data (such as texts & whatnot) without buying Titanium Backup. It's a lovely app but I'm kind of strapped for cash at the moment.

    Any help my lovely crew?

I think you can restore your data from a nandroid backup after installing BB. Astro will backup most of your apps.

I tried but I got stuck in a boot loop.

Should I restore the entire Nandroid backup or a sub-section like 'Data'?

Just restore the data after flashing BB. I think Pete recommends wiping data and cache 2 times before flashing BB. Hope that helps.

You have to wipe the /data folder because the information contained within isnt cross compatible between 2.0.1 and 2.1. I dont think there's any amount of Nandroiding you can do to make them work properly together. Your best bet is Titanium Backup or MyBackup Pro.

Yep. You can also just download them again from the Market, since it keeps track of the apps you've installed and not uninstalled. MBP and Titanium are more all-in-one solutions, that save SMS and MMS and that sort of thing.
