I am using chevys kernel and seem to be getting much much worse battery life.. idk why. i am using profiles and all.. anyone have a link to adamz low voltage kernels..
and can someone explain how the voltages translate to perfomance/battery life

Check the first post of blackdroid's UltimateDroid v7 thread....AdamZ's kernel is there. It is a rom.tgz which means you choose the options during installation![]()
thank you.. can you explain the difference?
can someone post the *.rom.tgz file
Here ya' go. It's too large to host from DF. Smoked.Glass.Boot.ESE53.rom.tar
i thought it was a rom.tgz
or what do i do with that file
anyone help here?
Place the file on the root of your SDcard. Boot into recovery, go to install. The top option is what you want, I dont' remember what it says (install from SD card or something like that). Choose the file, and it will eventually give you the options.
As to your original question, try them out for yourself. In theory lower voltage = less power/heat....but I have found different kernels work better for battery and heat than his LV kernels. But my phone is different than yours, and everyone elses.

That is the correct tgz file. It has ALL of his kernels on there and let's you choose which one you want (low, medium, or high voltages up to 1300 mhz). The low voltage will likely cause some problems, although it didn't cause any on my Droid. It did actually create more heat than the medium voltage, so I stayed with 1200mhz medium voltage.
