Complete How-To on How to Mod Your Phone (2.1 ROM, O/C, MM, Boot Animation, etc)

Not sure if this is just an issue on my computer or what, but I can't download BDS-20100321-0257.rar . The download starts and says that the file is 60-ish MB, but then the download says its complete after just than a few seconds, the file is only a couple megs, and when i try to extract, WinRAR gives me an corrupt file error. Any ideas?

Having some problems getting MetaMorph to apply themes. I have followed instructions to the T and not having any luck.

Have busybox installed in the /system/bin with lots of free space
Have themes (multiple themes, all either compatible with my device or all devices)
Select the theme that i want to use and apply all. Goes through and does its thing and asks to reboot.
After reboot, everything is the same except for the Superuser Permissions icon, which is the icon for the theme I am trying to apply.

DOES NOT GIVE ANY KIND OF ERROR!

Is there something im missing, or is it just not working as it should??
Dont want to wipe device and start over, but if it means getting MM to work properly, i'll have no other choice

I have tried with just the framework, have tried with just an application, and i have tried with all

Well when you do a framework modification it can be a real pisser. What are you trying to modify?

trying to overclock - locks on install /sdcard/update.zip (deprecated) - error msg says "Can't open /sdcard/update.zip (no such file found)" - followed process to the letter - WITH ONE EXCEPTION - the first time I did it I did not click "allow update.zip installation" before I clicked "install /sdcard/update.zip (deprecated)" - I removed the files, and started all over again, with no success - same error msg

I am trying to apply the theme as a whole. The theme I am attempting to use is The Official Buuf. Have tried with Glass, Smoked Glass and a few others as well with same results (Buuf so far is the only one that has change the Superuser Permission icon)

I had the same problem with a different ROM file today. Took me about a dozen attempts before it finally downloaded the whole file. Good luck.

I have a rooted Droid with Firmware Version 2.0.1 & Bugless Beast 0.7.5

If I was going to upgrade to Bugless Beast 0.8, I would begin on step #9, correct?
