Keep in mind these changes can be reversed and not everyone has the same outcome (sometimes changing these settings actually makes call quality WORSE, not better)

87. Go to menu > settings > call settings and turn off voice privacy. Quite often this causes an echo for someone else on the other line. <Screenshot>

88. This next tip might not always work, depending where you live...so if your call quality gets worse after trying just change it back...go to the dialer and on the standard phone screen type ##PROGRAM and enter 000000 when it askd for the password. Then choose VOCODE. the default is EVRC. Try changing this to ERVC-B. This is a newer call standard that isn't completely in effect yet....also you can try 13k which is the oldest of the standards. I put in the ##7764726 and hit dial...either nothing happens at all.. the phone function locks up then FC or I get the verizon lady "your call cannot be completed as dialed"

I just tested it again, thinking I mistyped something, but it works perfectly here. Maybe you are making a typo.

retyped 4 different times. keep getting "call cannot be completed as dialed

yup. looking at my call log right now...4 tries

but been working on the boot animation too and its being crazy. I copy/paste it in the correct folder just like you said reboot...and its the same stock ani....go back into the data/local and nothing shows up. tried using adb shell to drop it in there....and it tells me permission denied.....

I followed the guide to a T and I was rooted previously running Pete's Bugless Beast for 2.0.1 and had no problems doing the update.zip way.

Well, the guide said you couldn't use the update.zip method when coming from 2.0.1. Maybe that's your problem?

Try following the guide again, use the nandroid method and make sure you wipe.

Awesome guide!!! I just got the Bugless Beast on, absolutely no problems with that. Ive only run into a few now. When i try and access my SD card on the Bugless Beast, it shows nothing, yet when i mount it, it shows all the root files (update.zip, etc) and the files from my Nandroid backup (i.e. the files i have on my phone when i do backup/ before i got BB). Is there anyway to change that? Other wise i love the guide.
