    So I just rooted...

I just rooted my phone after being scared to death to do it and I must say I'm loving it, but I have a few questions

What are safe values to over clock my phone?
What other suggestions can you all make about what I should do to my phone?
Basically anything you all can think of that would be useful would be great

If 1.25ghz was safe we'd all be on it by default. The closest I've heard to a phone overheating was folks who had a pillow smother it in the middle of the night. The rom I'm using lets me go up to 1.1 but I'm running my phone at 400/900 and am using profiles to lower that in sleep mode and charging mode. 250/550. I'm not sure why you can enable each profile and then also turn profiles on....sorta odd.

Different CPUs perform differently too. Yours may do fine at 900 while someone else's does not. I installed SG4.5 on the 22nd and had no issues at 900mhz. First reboot was today when I installed 5.0

Other things to do? You could apply themes or leave it how it is. If you have a use for wifi tethering you can play around with that too.

Welcome to the dark side! Here are two links for OC. This if from Matth3w(Please read this before you ask about SetCPU!). This is from the developers web site (SetCPU)

Both are excellent and should answer you questions.

Lol thanks to both of you and when you say themes what do you mean exactly because atm I'm running smoked glass and the only thing close I've heard about to a theme is metamorph in the market.

My phone runs great at 1.25Ghz. Different roms behave differently on each phone (or so it seems) and the same is true of kernels. You just have to try stuff and see what works for you. I've been using the Bugless Beast roms for over a month and i love them. I am now using V1.1 with Chevy's 1.25 Ghz kernel.

Do you guys really see that much difference in running at 900 as opposed to 550? I'm running BB 7.5 (which I absolutely love) 800
    mhz
and as far as speed goes I really don't notice any difference.
