Okay, you don't get it so I'll explain. This is for BRICKED droids. This flashes the droid with stock from ONE FILE and can be done from phones that are completely FUBAR from mismanaged hacking. Not just for going to stock...for FIXING broke droids.
I understand that.
However, his title of the thread was
"Unroot/Unbrick your phone using .sbf"
Thus indicating you can revert your phone back to stock/unroot with this (which is true).
I was simply stating I would NOT use this for Unrooting

In my opinion this is a lot better then using droidmod updater and I say this because using this you are absolutely sure you are unrooted as it reflashes your phone totally and completely.
On that note to each his/her own.
Also with that being said you CAN use this to unroot so the statement in the title is correct and it will work if he/she chooses to use this method. The fact is you may have come in here to express your opinion on the matter which is a posibility but it seems you can in here to troll/flame and say "The way I do it is better blah blah blah".
All in all just drop it. This can be used to unroot and in my opinion this way is better because it makes sure everything from someone rooting is flushed out and your phone gets reflashed.
Has nothing to do with what I think is better.
Noobs + this method = a lot more questions than if you simply refer people to droidmod to unroot.

EDITED OUT CONTENT by ADMIN
Wow, this isn't a which is better thread guys, let's stick to what's important, the sbf will unbrick phones. "Edited" and "Edited Out by Admin" are not productive. Yes this can unroot you, and can take you to an out of the box state, and yes DM Updater can do the same. You are both "sorta" correct, but the attitudes make you completely wrong.

you know...all I stated was that it's much easier to not refer people to use this method for unrooting as it's a lot more complicated and you can screw up your phone if you don't know what you're doing.
I got called a troll for saying so

I also edited that comment out too. For your sake as well.
For everyone, just keep it clean, no bashing.
This information might just save someone's DROID one day.
From what I see, it is really intended for BRICKED Droids.
I will leave this thread open, unless I am told to do otherwise.

Just tested it and had some problems with drivers/RSD. I uninstalled them, rebooted my computer then reinstalled them, worked wonderfully.
Thanks a lot for this

I'm sorry I still don't understand.
I thought nandroid and SPrecovery was the best thing out there whereby you couldn't really brick your phone.
How is this better?
I read the alldroid thread as well and I din't find the answer.
The only thing I can find is that this takes you back to 2.01 without root and activation.......but I don't understand how it is better to unbrick your phone.
Anyone?

Brick = not booting. Not sure what message will appear on the screen but for BlackBerry's you would get an "Error 507" code that appeared on the screen.
Basically, you can't even GET to SPrecovery to do a nandroid restore. Or if you can, then it's corrupted and there are major issues. Basically you've locked yourself out your phone and it's pretty much just a "brick".
This process will allow you to use your computer by itself to reflash the stock OS back onto your phone.
Until now, you had to make sure your recovery image wasn't corrupted or overwritten and that you had proper nandroid backups.
Now, you can go wild and always know that no matter how badly you mess up the phone and lock it up permanently, well, you can get it back to stock and on your way to your nandroid backup.
