OK so here's my deal, I found an old D1 I had put away in almost new cond. So since my other phone had been pretty used and abused starting to malfunction I decided to lay it to rest and activated the D1 to use. It is still running firmware 2.1 (ESE81) I want to get it up to or past 2.2 somehow. I was told on another forum that rooting would grant me easier access to upgrades since I haven't had any luck with OTA or getting a stock upgrade to flash so I rooted it. Now my question is: what is the best thing I can do to this phone to optimize it now?
