    The latest version of SholesMod gets rid of the new launcher and goes back to a 5-screen version of the standard (2.0) launcher. Just use SholesMod Updater to go to SM2.0.5 and you'll be set.

    Again, go to menu, settings, applications, then manage, then your launcher, then uninstall.

    If you install an app using an APK, you can remove it thru the phone like any other installed app.

    is it worth going to SM2.0.5 from 2.0.3? Is it any better or does it just remove the launcher?

    I had the same problem with launcher2 when I installed it with Terminal Emulator. When you open Root Explorer goto system->apps and then once you find launcher2 before you try to delete it, make sure you click the box on the top of the screen to mount r/w. Once you mount it as R/W you will be able to delete it.

    It removed the 2.1 launcher, and some other tweaks to improve performance, nothing adding it terms of application etc though.
