Best and easiest way to root Evo 4G or tether unrooted

I just got my replacement Evo 4G from assurion and I need to root it so that I can use a wireless tether to share the internet connection via wifi without paying the 50.00 a month.
I tried the Unrevoked3 which is what I used on my other Evo but the software on this one is too new to use unrevoked.
Does anyone know or can you point me to the easiest way to root it. It is running

Build #: 5.07.651.1

If anyone knows an App that I can use to do this without rooting please let me know. I am paying the 50.00 a month for 6GB of data but I can go through this in 2 days. Would like to kill that 50.00 a month wireless hotspot. I installed pdanet to use with one PC at a time, but I need an App that can do it wireless.

Look for FoxFi in Google Play/Market...

It does not require root & I have used it easily for the purpose you described, pointed to it from other forum members back when our OTA upgrade from VZW denied root access (until now, and still using it since new root was successful). It will either work, or it won't. I have seen my WiFi/3G data icons toggle on/off a couple times while FoxFi is enabling the internal router, which I guess is either a throughput measurement or its way of masking the data.
