    Running 2.1 but "No root"?

Did the root via update.zip thing, updates the OS to 2.1, added the boot.img for 900 Mhz and when I run SetCPU is says I have no root. Doesn't even ask for permissions. Went back and ran Terminal Emulator. When I type "SU" it says "access denied". So it really is not rooted with SuperUser permissions. Every attempt as using update.zip to gain root changes nothing.

    Any ideas anyone?

Is 2.1 preventing root access? I read on one of the forums the exploit for root access in 2.1 is unavailable.

    Any help would be appreciated

Yeah all the 2.1 ROMs I've tried remove root.....but if you just do a restore of your 2.0.1 backup you'll get it back
