Ok I understand the flash_image should have no .txt or any extension after it. I read the steps and it didn't work. Now my flash_image has no extension after it but (Win XP) under flash_image it shows Text Document. There is no extension though? What do I do? Thanks

I'm guessing you are trying to install the flash image for SRPecovery. If that is correct, here is a fresh copy (flash_image).

I used these steps the first time I rooted and modded my droid and nailed it the first time; thanks! However, I still have that original 2.0.1 BB mod and I want to go to BB0.9 2.1. In this post you state you have to wipe the data to get to that point. I am okay with that but somehow I lost how to do that. Can you suggest which sections I need to complete to go from BB 2.0.1 to BBv0.9 2.1?

Boot into recovery, arrow down to wipe data. Select it. Once it tells you its done (30 seconds or so) , follow nandroid installation instructions. After the first nandroid to ESE based 2.1 roms, the rest can safely be done with update.zip method. I still prefer nandroid for each revision. The first post in petes thread links to his FAQ, which is informative, and will answer almost any question you might have.
