What exactly is safestrap?

Hello all,

I was browsing the forums and came across a program called safestrap. I have a rooted droid razr running 2.3.6 and was looking for the safest, most effective way of flashing a rom. A few years back, I bricked my droid 2 after flashing cyanogen mod with bootstrapped and rom manager. Is safestrap a good way to flash a new rom, if not are there any other programs that are SAFE and effective?

Safestrap will be your safest way to flash roms. It allows you to make full backups of your stock rom to reflash at any point if you brick and allows you to switch back and forth between two roms. I'm currently running it on my Bionic to keep my stock system on the non-safe side and Eclipse 2.2 as my safe rom as well as a full stock image backed up in case one of my roms becomes corrupted and I can't switch to the other. It's simple to use and very safe.
